VigRX Plus vs Viagra (Sildenafil)
Sildenafil citrate, also simply known as sildenafil, is the drug sold as Viagra, Revatio, and other brand names. You will probably be most familiar with Viagra, so for the purposes of this article, we will refer to it as Viagra.
Viagra is mostly known for its effects against erectile dysfunction, but it is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It was developed by Pfizer and since its launch in 1998 it has become the world’s foremost medical treatment of erectile dysfunction. Viagra is called a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, and acts by preventing the action of a chemical in the body called phosphodiesterase type 5. In short, it improves the blood flow to the penis following sexual stimulation, helping to maintain an erection.
Viagra is normally taken an hour before sexual intercourse, but can be taken anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours before intercourse. It has a temporary effect and if an erection last more than 4 hours (!) then you need to see a doctor immediately.
Viagra is a prescription drug so you need to consult a doctor before you are prescribed the drug. As an FDA approved drug it has been widely tested through clinical trials.

VigRX Plus vs Extenze
Extenze is another market-leading male enhancement product. It is available in the form of an oral supplement, and contains natural ingredients. It is similar to VigRX Plus in that it contains a mixture of ingredients that combine to increase blood flow to the penis and have aphrodisiacal effects. It claims to cause harder, stronger erections and increase libido and sexual stamina.
It is an over-the-counter supplement and as such is not FDA approved.
I am only including this in here as an ‘alternative’ when it comes to penis enlargement. There are two types of surgeries, lengthening – where a sensory ligament to the pelvic bone is cut, and ‘widening’ which generally involves flesh from other parts of the body being used to inject into the shaft of the penis.
Needless to say these are risky, expensive procedures. They only deal with the actual physical appearance of the penis so do nothing about the chemical, physiological or even psychological causes of erectile dysfunction.
Consult a doctor
Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of other medical issues and it is always recommended to speak to a doctor before any of these alternatives are considered.
While there are certainly lots of options when it comes to ‘male enhancement’ VigRX Plus is an excellent option in that it:
- Uses only natural ingredients
- Does not need a prescription to order
- Is clinically tested and proven
- Comes with a full money-back guarantee
- No side effects
